The exhibition "Visions of Italy" at Didier Aaron in London comprises around twenty-five drawings and paintings by mostly French and Italian artists from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries.
Included are a pair of paintings by Lacroix de Marseille, "A scene with fishermen at sunrise" and "Eruption of Vesuvius at night"; architectural "capricci" by Pierre-Antoine Demachy and Hubert Robert; a minutely observed view of Tivoli by Jean-Jacques de Boissieu; three large-scale watercolours by Abraham-Louis-Rodolphe Ducros and one by Franz Kaisermann; a view of the Forum by Salomon Corrodi and one of Pompeii (oil, dated 1905) by the Danish artist Josef Theodor Hansen.
